Can i print onto Cotton, Silk or Nylon?

Sublimation inks transfer to polyester based fabrics only. They do not transfer to natural surfaces such as cotton, silk or other synthetic surfaces like nylon.

What is lead in and how much do I need?

To press your print to your fabric, we require a lead in of 1m and a lead out of 1m. So 2m needs to be supplied for each roll printed. For example if you are printing 40m, we need 42m of fabric.

Can i print onto coloured fabric?

The best result for sublimation printing is to print onto white based fabric, although we have worked with clients on lighter based fabrics and achieved some interesting results. We are happy to do a small sample for you to see what you can achieve.

Do you print onto ready made t-shirts?

No we only print roll to roll yardage printing.

What is sublimation printing?

Basically, the artwork is printed onto paper first, then transferred onto fabric using a heat process. In more technical terms, a sublimation printer is a computer printer which employs a printing process that uses heat to transfer dye onto medium materials such as fabric.
